NV+ V1 will not change anything in Setup
I have just purchased a second hand NV+ (which was reportedly working OK). I have reset it to factory default and added four 500Gb drives. All appears to be OK according to RAIDar, as shown here (the one under question is 01-D0-99:

I can see the NAS in my Windows Explorer, I can copy and view files normally - everything seems to be OK, but....
If I open Setup via RAIDar (or just via the IP address in the browser) it comes up with the volume information but nothing else:

When I try to change anything either through the Wizard or the Advanced screens it seems to start an operation (the ants march) but nothing happens, for example I tried to set the clock. I tried to upgrade the FW and it couldn't find the server so I downloaded RAIDiator 4.1.13 and tried to upgrade via the local file. It said that it found the file but when I told it to start I got the ants but no other indication (from the browser or the front panel of the NAS) that anything was happening. e.g.:

I have removed and reseated the memory module in case it was not sitting properly. Also whenever I try to do something I get a lot of 'busy' dialogues such as:

It seems strange that it boots perfectly well and seems to work fine (as far as saving or reading files) but will not do anything in Setup (I have left it doing things for a couple of hours in case it was just slow but something simple like changing the clock shouldn't take long.
Any ideas?

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe NAS is running firmware that is almost 7 years old: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15059
It's quite likely that you have a browser compatibility issue. Are you able to try upgrading the firmware using a very old web browser version? - yawoodAspirant@mdgm
I have tried to send replies to your PM and they are just sitting in my Outbox. How do I get them to send? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredMessages stay in the Outbox until read using phpbb3.
- yawoodAspirantThank you mdgm and Matthew the tech. The new FW is installed and everything is working perfectly.
