The main user account that all of the files that are being backed up indeed belongs to the Administrators group.
SmartSync does not check the user on the Windows side. On the NVX side, there is a feature there of inputting username/password values in "Connect to Network Resource" dialogue box and then the "Test" button which checks if the login was successful for the particular user.
