Hi JennC
As in the previous post screen shot 2, access is fine on the AFP drive. Seems like Time Machine cannot access ReadyNAS properly, may have something to do with it being 5 years old as our sons 2015 macbook pro connected fine.
I will contact Apple for assistance or use a separate drive which is not ideal.
Thanks

Hello Ozchap,
TimeMachine connects to NAS via AFP too. Maybe something needs to be adjusted with that TimeMachine of the Mac computer.
Just post back in case you have any updates.

Hi JennC
I did a few tests with Applecare & confirmed that even though files can be read & written to from the 'Finder' window on the Macs, it is an access issue to the NAS drives when trying to sign in with Time Machine. Even when choosing either 'Registered User' or 'Guest' passwords seem to not be accepted.
I will have to go through the NAS manual to check how I can set up access with passwords to try & get this to work.
I will let you know how I go when I get a chance.
Thanks
Bill
