OSX Support refresh - Thunderbolt/Open Directory/Lion ?
Perhaps given Mac developments there is an opportunity to refresh some of the features. 1) Thunderbolt support is beginning to grow, perhaps future devices could add this support along side USB 3.0...

Given that iCloud is already supposed to synchronize a local copy of your files to the service, adding another copy to the NAS seems redundant. I could see it if you could "point" iCloud's local services at the ReadyNAS, making it a "Private iCloud" - but then, that defeats the purpose, from Apple's point of view (And also eliminates a lot of the benefits of iCloud, such as the media locker).
I do agree there needs to be alternatives for online backup providers - ReadyNAS Vault has fallen short of the mark compared to some other offerings I've seen online. However, I don't think iCloud is it - I'd rather see supported clients for Mozy, Carbonite, etc. before iCloud.
