Pathetic Virus Scanner
I have a RN31600 Just upgraded (15-May) to v6.7.1 How do we get the imbisiles at NetGear to stop bombing us with emails about supposedly infected files ??? Today I got more than 30 emails...

If you think emails are erroneous you could setup an email filter so they don't go into your main inbox folder.

Or just turn off the Anti-Virus option if you don't really need it. I also get false positives from their scanner on my NAS even though Norton sees nothing wrong with the same files. I would venture to guess they just need updated DAT files to properly match actual virus signatures.

You say the Anti-virus is pathetic, so stop using it. Turn it off in the GUI, reboot the NAS and no more emails.
You can also set rules/filters in your email settings (like with Gmail or Outlook).
Getting false positive sometimes seems fair. You say you get 30 emails in 5 minutes, you may have an actual problem there...
Can you at least post an example of email you get?
