Pathetic Virus Scanner
I have a RN31600 Just upgraded (15-May) to v6.7.1 How do we get the imbisiles at NetGear to stop bombing us with emails about supposedly infected files ??? Today I got more than 30 emails...

Thanks for the responses.
I'm stuck between that void where the email are erroneous but 1 time they might actually be right, hence why I havent set up email rules.
The thing that annoys me the most is that the files have not changed in anyway & suddenly I'm bombarded by "they're infected" emails, I do nothing & 12 hrs later they emails stop. If they were really infected, they'd still be infected, right??

All the files being put on my NAS are coming from my own PCs (which have their own real-time protection). There's no need for AV in the NAS itself - so I have it turned off.
If that's also true in your case, then you could turn it off.
Also the quarantines would happen no matter what the email filter does, so there's no harm in creating an email filter (though you should of course check the AV folder). Note you can turn the filter on when a flood begins, then turn it off later.

You are saying that you
- get the emails
- the files are not quarantined or deleted
That does suggest something is wrong. It might be useful if you post a sample email.
