Plex - Version Incorrect?
ReadyNas212 OS 6.10.7
I am trying to use Plex remotely (ie via the net and outside my local network) using an Android client. Plex is running and is contactable locally. Remotely the server shows as offline (I have port forwarding configured on my router) - and at times the Plex client tells me the server is the wrong version and needs to be updated (which maybe implies that it is getting through my firewall ok and connecting?). The vesrion of Plex on the NAS is 1.11.3.4803-C40.
Has anyone got Plex working remotely - and what did you have to configure to do it?

Head to https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/ , choose your platform "Netgear", and select ARMv7 (RN2xx Series) for the installation or update.

OK - I then get a '.deb' file downloaded to my laptop. What am I supposed to do with it? Presumably it needs to be copied to the NAS and installed via root access?

Sorry, I replied too soon without checking the NAS interface. I see the 'upload' option on the apps tab in the NAS web app. That seemed to upload and install the deb file. The plex app now shows the up to date version - but the Android app still showed Plex as offline until I turned the Plex app off on the NAS - oddly now the NAS shows that the Plex app is being toggled, but I can now connect via Android. The NAS app tab is now hanging with the 'toggling service' message.
