RAIDiator™ v3.01c1-p6 [1.00a034] backup to USB?
Hello. I have an old ReadyNAS NV+ running RAIDiator™ v3.01c1-p6 [1.00a034]. It is mostly full: Online, 90% of 2010 GB used X-RAID (Expandable RAID), 4 disks.
I'd like to back it up prior to upgrading both the disks and RAIDiator.
Can I attach a 2TB external USB drive and do this via FrontView with this version of RAIDiator?
There are four shares and two home shares. Do i need to back them up one at a time?
When I look at FrontView, i don't see anything USB listed, but don't have the drive on there now -- I'm presuming one would show up once attached?
Any other comments/suggestions?
Thank you

That firmware does not support 2TB disks (I don't think it even supports 1TB disks).
Best to backup your data across your network or update the firmware then backup your data.
Firmware updates leave your data intact. In the unlikely event you have issues some assistance can be provided.
In the current firmware (not sure about RAIDiator 3.x) there is an option to backup All Home Shares. The home shares are also stored on the data volume C, so backing that up is another alternative.
When a USB drive is attached it will automatically be mounted (provided it's formatted with a compatible filesystem i.e. EXT3, FAT32 or NTFS)
