RAIDiator 4.1.13 (sparc) / 4.2.25 (x86) is now available?

Sticky Topic ref: RAIDiator 4.1.13 (sparc) is now available? and RAIDiator 4.2.25 (x86) is now available?

Have NV+ ver 1 running 4.1.12. Did remote update and claims 4.1.12 is latest. Downloaded 4.1.13 update zip file and loaded using local update. Returns with invalid file pop-up. Tried each method twice to make sure.

Have an Ultra+ 4 running 4.2.24 also. Same result. Remote update says have latest. Local update says file is not valid for the architecture.

Had just finished a quarterly backup and reboot after DLNA service stopped working on the NV+. Upon reboot, NV+ logs had zero'ed out and system showed 0MB used and 0 MB available even though file shares all appeared normal. So thought doing the update would clear the problem. Simply reinstalled 4.1.12 and that cleared the RAIDiator issue.

You have to unzip the zip file and upload [just] the firmware image to do a local install.

Thanks mdgm. Been doing too many Android updates of late to pay attention to that.

  • I removed the offending lines and then PlexMediaServer-0.9.8.10.215-020456b-i686.bin
    installed right away.
I never had Version 4.2.24 on this NAS if that helps,
I think my previous version was PlexMediaServer-0.9.8.6.175-88ffbb2-i686.bin
  • FYI... RAIDiator 4.2.25 includes snmp version 5.2.3-7etch4.netgear2, but /etc/apt/preferences pins snmp at version 5.2.3-7etch4.netgear1 (and that's also the version provided by the http://www.readynas.com/packages 4.2.25/ repository). The two versions are probably not very different, but blindly running "apt-get upgrade" without first editing /etc/apt/preferences will downgrade the package.
  • Just wanted to report a successful upgrade of NV+ with NetGear supplied 1GB RAM from 4.1.9 to 4.1.13 (I had held off from going to 4.1.10 and 4.1.12 given problems reported with RAM). But all appears fine with 4.1.13.

So *HAPPY* NetGear is supporting vintage ~2008 device with new software 6 years later - very unusual in this day and age - impressive and wonderful.
