Snapshots work very differently on ReadyNAS OS6 to how they worked on RAIDiator-x86 4.2.x. The filesystem is different and with 4.2.x you have just the one snapshot. If you write more data than there is snapshot space then the snapshot will be invalidated.
Provided the Online Filesystem Check is scheduled at the appropriate time, 100GB should be way more than the amount of writes that take place during the time the snapshot is active.

With 4.2.x, the amount of snapshot space is configured when the system was originally installed. It can't be changed later.

But "no" space is allocated at all, as in ZERO.

Understood. That was done when the system was installed (I haven't reset mine in years, so I don't remember exactly what the setup questions were).

When you do a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) there is a 10 minute countdown during which you can open RAIDar, choose the RAID mode and the amount of snapshot space you want and confirm your choice.
RAIDiator-x86 4.2.x support a single snapshot at a time.
