Experience with Time Machine and firmware 6.7.1
Hi I have noted that it has been some struggle for Netgear to upgrade from firmware 6.6.1 to 6.7.1. Therefore I would like to know if someone has tested it with Time Machine and say macOS 10.12....

I decided to bite the bullet myself. The upgrade to 6.7.1 worked very well so far. I have had the NAS working together with my three Macs and Time machine worked well and integrity of old backups were kept over the change to 6.7.1. I have also upgraded to the latest macOS these days for two of the Macs. Before doing the upgrade of the NAS I also talked with the support who could report that there were little problems reported and could also explain something of the difficulties Netgear have had with 6.7.0 (which was withdrawn) but quickly updated to 6.7.1.
