re-initializing timemachine backups
hello all,
i was using time machine on my duo v2 and it was working great until….. My mac got fubar and i reinstalled using osx reinstall process and the time machine backup however i made a mistake and renamed the hdd a different name and when the backup was completed i was asked what to do with the old time machine back up. i believe i was given the choice of inheriting or ignoring and i must have hit ignore thinking i could come back late and change my selection but nada.
When i go to time machine in osx it attempts to prepare a whole new back up. my question is: how can i get in there and trick my computer into inheriting that back up and start adding to it from this point forward? i did enable SSH root access on this NAS.
