I think maybe the disk 2 is fautly. It caused the resyncing failed to finish.
It is better give us a remote access to box, then we can have a check for the disk 2.
You also can try normal boot only with the disk 1 which you pulled before. Maybe the unit can boot up only with the disk 1. Then you can hot-plug new disk in box again.
