It sounds like you may have a full OS partition. If you have SSH enabled, the NAS is still accessible via SSH, and are familiar enough with the Linux command line, you may be able to fix it yourself with some guidance, or at least confirm that's the problem. Alternately, you may need to go in via support mode Telnet, which is a bit more involved. You can try to boot in read only mode via the boot menu and see if you can get to the log page and see if it says you have a (nearly) full OS partition. I don't recommend you immediatyely try to download the full log .zip, as that'll eat up more OS partition space.
If any of that scares you, then paid support from Netgear is likely your best route.
