Regardless of "manufacture process", "batch defects", quantum entanglement or anything else, it is a COMPLETE JOKE (well not a joke) that I keep seeing "both drives failed at the same time". This just does not happen. So what IS happening??
The raison d'etre of these units is to protect data from single disk failure - you have to be the unluckiest person alive to have 2 drives go together. Sure - if you have 10,000 drives expect a few to go together, but not when you have TWO. If the manufacturing tolerances were that good for both drives to fail together, they'd be good enough for both drives to work.....
So, please, someone tell me and the OP - WTF is going on??
