ReadyNAS 102 Blue Power Light blinking in pattern No Second Drive Light

I'm having a strange issue with my ready NAS.   The LED on the Primary drive is off.  The one on the secondary drive is on and I can access the device just fine.  The Blue Power light is blanking in a set pattern like a heart beat.  Poom Poom, Poom Poom, Poom Poom.  The log says Status Degraded.  I have replaced the primary drive but it didn't fix anything.  The same thing is hapenning.

Does anyone know what's going on with the drive?

Thanks for your assistance.

    Hello  bahamas68,

The volume is degraded because there is a disk that has been removed and if it was replaced, the replacement has not synched with the one that has been left inserted. This error message means that the volume can not recover from another disk failure which is an expected behavior.

When you insert the new disk, it will add it to array, and redundancy will be restored after the resync. For now I have some questions to ask, can you still get to the admin page? If so, please post a screenshot of what you get under Volumes. I need to know the size of the disk that you have inserted as a replacement, if it is the same size as the faulty one, the RAID level, the status of both disks. If you can download the system logs, please do and send upload to wikisend.com and PM me the download link.

    Welcome to the community!
