ReadyNAS 102 Firmware v6.7.1 does not recognize USB 3.0 external hard drives.

I have a pair of 5TB external drives connected via the USB 3.0 to my ReadyNAS 102 (v6.7.1), which has a pair of RAID 1 5TB drives inside.  I don't see the external drives when I manage the NAS.  What am I doing wrong?  I thought it should have been plug-n-play.  The drives mount when connected directl to a PC.  I just can't see them through the NAS 102.  I've upgraded to the most recent firmware.

Thanks for the help.

What model drives?  Are you powering them externally?  How are they formatted?

v6.7.4.  Update isn't offering a 6.7.5.  Both drives are formatted NTFS.

Stupid me though, turns out the power strip they were plugged into was turned off.  Problem resolved.
