ReadyNas 102 really slow using file explorer

I have a ReadyNas 102

firmware 6.4.2

Running x-raid

2 SATA 3TB drives

The readynas is on my wired home network

accessed by 2 windows 10 machines

Recently, when I try to use file explorer to navigage the Nas, its become really slow and sometimes file explorer just hangs. Each time I navigate to a directory on the Nas its a crap shoot if its going hang or go into the directory. Its seems like the greater the number of files in the directory the more likely file explorer will hang.

Also, within windows 10, the Nas only shows up under network on only one computer.

I've rebooted the NAS

I've rebooted the window 10 machines

I've gone into the NAS admin pages and everything looks OK

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Jay

Try disabling the AV feature of the ReadyNAS and test accessing your files again.

When you wrote AV, I thought you meant Audio Visual :) - So I turned off everything I thought was related to streaming or media.

I just realized you meant Anti-Virus.

I turned off the anti-virus service and that seemed to work.

      Thanks

      Jay
