ReadyNas 212 does not work. Managment service is offline

Got new NAS 212 model. When I try to connect to NAs using https://readycloud.netgear.com  service can't find it.

I downloaded RAIDar and it said, that NAs is ok, got ip address, microcode version 6.4.1 but  got error

Managment service is offline. Web interface does not work also. So how could I fix it up?

  • Hi Katuhin,

If you have no data yet on the NAS, you may do a factory reset and see if you will still have the same issue afterwards. You may check this link for the steps on how to do the factory reset.

You need to update the firmware - 6.4.1 is very old and doesn't support the ReadyCloud single-sign-on.

The current firmware is 6.9.3.  You can't migrate to that in one step (again your firmware is too old for that).  You'll need to update to 6.5.2 and then to 6.9.3.

The software update feature in the web UI should present the 6.5.2 update first.

After default factory reset, I could find my NAS but I could not login even localy. What is the default password and username? And how I could update firmware if I could not login to web service?

        Hi Katuhin,

The default admin credential for your NAS is admin for the username and password for the password.
