ReadyNAS 312 space hasn't been freed after deleting iSCSI
As the subject says, I created a 1TB iSCSI share, assigned it to a LUN, but decided that I wanted a smaller size share, so deleted it. I've also deleted the LUN group.
However the size still hasn't updated and is still showing as though the 1TB iSCSI share is still active.
Anyone had this before and/or know how to rectify it?
Many thanks,
Chris

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYes it has been seen before.
What version of ReadyNAS OS are you running?
Do you have an up to date backup?
When did you purchase this ReadyNAS?
Welcome to the forum! - creebefuAspirantThanks for the prompt reply. And apologies... I should have included that info in the OP...
OS version is latest: 6.1.9
And I didn't even copy any data to it, literally just created the 1TB iSCSI share, then deleted it (after creating a LUN group, adding it to the group, then deleted the share, then the group).
And no backups.

Cheers! - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredCan you send me your logs (see the link in my sig)?
- creebefuAspirantPM'd you link.
Many thanks. - mrmolleAspirantHi all..
I have a big problem with my RN312. I have used up most of the space on my drives but even though I delete data, the available space isn't increasing. Is there like a trash bin I have to empty before seeing the results? I have the latest software installed. The RN is about a year old soon.
Thanks in advance!
Marcus - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe data is still probably in /data/.purge

Hi! and thanks! how do I access that folder? it is not in the folderlist...:(
Thanks again!
Marcus - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserDid you try accessing the NAS (via windows explorer) as admin, and then entering \\nasname\data\.purge
You might want to enable viewing hidden files on the windows system first. Note you will not be able to access \\nasname\data unless you are using the nas admin account credentials on the windows system. - mrmolleAspirantYes but I cant find anything at all. I write the address like this:
\\192.168.0.118\data\.purge but nothing comes up. It tells me to check spelling and try again... - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredCheck your PM inbox.
