Readynas 316 - Permissions Will Not Apply To Copied Folders

To make things clearer:

Readynas 316 - NAS
Media Center PC - Intel NUC - Running Windows 7 and MBS + the MB client used to play video ect.
MAC - My desktop, it plays no part in this media system.

The video share file sharing protocols: SMB, NFS, AFP, FTP. I will change the username and password for the NUC and MBS so that matches that of the NAS and see if there is any change.
