ReadyNAS Duo - Unable to open folder/files
I've had my ReadyNAS Duo for a few years now and I'm very happy with it.
I have two questions which I hope somebody might be able to help me with.
Recently I created a new folder on one of my shares and saved some photos to it.
Despite trying various PC's, Laptops and iMac whenever I try to open a photo or copy one from this folder I get an error message stating I do not have permission, despite using the PC that created the folder (Windows 8 Pro). I can access all my other files and documents not stored within this folder on the Duo.
So I decided to check the sharing permissions via the browser admin, unfortunately forgot my password. :( Despite several attempts to force a firmware re-installation to reset the password, I seem to have no luck. I started the process 24 hours ago and I still have a blue flashing light on the Duo, how long does this process take normally take(got 450Gb of data on 500Gb drive)?
I summary:
1) How long should a firmware re-installation process take on a DUO V1?
2) Any ideas on the permission issues with this one folder?

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserIt's been a while since I did a OS reinstall, but something is wrong if it is still running after 24 hours. Maybe submit an on-line support request?
The advanced option screen for the share let you reset owner, group, and permissions. - darren22AspirantThanks StephenB, that's what I thought.
I will look at the advanced option screen as soon as I get back into the DUO.
