ReadyNas Duo 6 not booting with Drives in place

I came in to my office and there was a bad drive. I shut down the Duo attempted to reastart the ReadyNas Duo. but now I only see "ReadyNas" on the front display as long as drives are in place. When I start with the drives out of the unit, it displays that there are no drives in. I cannot get this to start up with drives in place.

What model do you have?  There is no such thing as a "duo 6".  What firmware is it running?

Do you know what drive had failed?  Did you try starting the NAS with that drive removed (but the others present)?

    Hello Toddphoto,

Like StephenB said, there is no ReadyNAS Duo 6, there is also no display screen on ReadyNAS Duo.

Please provide the right model number and current firmware.

Also, when you remove disks from the NAS you have to make sure you insert them back to their respective bays, that is important to keep data intact. Putting label on them is best so in case you remove them you know which bay they belong.
