ReadyNAS duo lights up but no one home
Help,
I have a 2 year old Duo with 2 2 tb drives in it. Three days ago i found the drive with the fan at high, all 4 led lights blinking on the front and no network activity.
The lights blink 3 times, then the disk 1 light blinks 2 times, sometimes 3 times. The power button did nothing, and the drives didnt seem to be doing anything.
I tried to find it on my network via raidar and frontview but it doesnt exist anymore. I tried a hard startup by pulling the power cable and plugging it back in. The power button worked once and the lights started to blink in the same pattern as before.
I am lost now as to what to do.
If anyone has an answer to this, i would also appreciate some help. Wasted 2 days trying all possible fixes i could find;
Reset button for 5 sec
Reset button for 30 sec
Both with a paperclip
Usb flash update via usb ports 1 2 and 3
Different usb sticks
Pull drives and let it spin for 12 hours
Leave a drive in slot 1 and let it spin for 12 hours plus
Any other help anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a spare disk, try (a) deleting the volumes on a PC, (b) powering down the duo, removing the two existing disks (record the slot order) and (c) restart the duo with the spare disk installed. The expected behavior would be a factory default install.
If you have a backup, you could try that with your live disks, keeping in mind that it will destroy the data and configuration.
It would also be sensible to test your drives on a PC with vendor tools (WDC Lifeguard or SeaTools).
