ReadyNAS Duo V1 file share permissions broken, can't create/delete files
Had my ReadyNAS Duo V1 for a few years now. File share permissions were working fine. Now, as of a couple weeks ago, I can't write or delete files from the shares. I still have read permissions it...

Yes. And it is possible for the file system to have issues even when the disks are healthy. One scenario for this is when the NAS power is cut (so there is no clean shutdown).
What firmware are you running?
Running RAIDiator 4.1.16
Do you have any idea of what might have triggered this problem? Also, are you using the default "everyone" permissions?
Assuming you are using Windows, try running CMD on the PC and enter
net use * /delete
net use t: \\nas-ip-address\C /user:admin nas-admin-password
Be careful on the typing (both spaces and the slash direction), and of course use the real IP address and admin password.
The first command ends any open network sessions; the second attempts to mount the NAS C volume as drive letter T. If there's a confirmation prompt on the first command, let it proceed.
Let us know if this gives you write access.
I was able to mount the drive on my Windows machine but still no write access.
Connecting from a Mac using SMB doesn't work either.
Yes, I am using default everyone permissions, everyone should have read/write.
As far as root cause, I'm not sure. Back in July 2017 I had an issue w/ a bad drive causing a boot loop, but after replacing the drive, the ReadyNAS recovered and was working fine up until this issue.
Currently, I took out one of the drives to debug this. Will try shutting down and booting from the other one.

Did you try the specific commands I suggested above?
This is almost certainly related to the use of guest credentials to access the NAS. Windows policy changes (and possibly similar changes in OSX) are generally at the root of it.
If those commands work, then it confirms that diagnosis, and we could then proceed to giving your your options to fix it.
