What version of RAIDiator are you running? There are known performance issues with RAIDiator 4.1.8. If after optimal performance I would suggest either downgrading to 4.1.7 (http://www.readynas.com/RAIDiator_4_1_7_Notes) or updating to 4.1.10-T3 (http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=59222)
