ReadyNAS Encryption

Can someone link me to a place where I can learn how to encrypt my ReadyNAS Pro 2? Can the Pro 2 handle encryption? What kind of performance hit will it take?

Yes, the data is sensitive enough to warrant heavy consideration of encryption.

I was just wondering if I should encrypt my ReadyNAS Pro 2, or if I should get some better hardware before encrypting.

Can anyone recommend a NAS that can handle encryption well without sacrificing too much performance?

I hope I got my point across.

Thank you!

If you are using Windows Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise, then you could also create an bitlocker encrypted VHD (virtual hard drive) on the Pro-2. There is a 2 TB limit (Windows VHDs need MBR partition format), so if you have a lot of sensitive data this approach wouldn't work.
