Readynas NV+ v2 not working with the original discs after an erase from the raidar software
Hi all,
I bought a 4th Western Red 3TB hdd to add to my previous 3x3TB set up. Two are segate and the 3rd was a Western digital red 3TB.
I had raid 0 (I think) installed on the nas system and when I added my extra 3TB it took 17 hours to sync and left me with the same amout of space as the previous 3x3TB.
I factory reset it to raid 0 but the raidar formatted it for raid 5. I retried using xraid-2 and still only had the space from the 3x3TB and not the 4X3TB.
I then tried to erase the lot using the raidar option. 440mins it said it would take so I left it on over night and in the morning I went through to see what had happened. The erase had finished but the nas was still on so I turned off the power.
Since then my two western digital drives will not work. I would prefer to re-format them within the pc but it will not let me do anything to them with any of the software I used (including the segate and western software) and they will still not work in my nas drive. If I add them in the nas drive just say "booting...." for hours without any of the four drives showing up.
If I take out the western drives, one segate drive will work. The 2nd segate shows up but does nothing.
Can anyone help as I would prefer to have either all working or trying to make these drives format back to work with a PC until I re-try my nas raid options
