Ive tried that, and I can never get it to boot into USB mode. I dont think this model has that option. I used a stop watch and counted 15 second and still it doesn't work. I used 2 different USB's

It does support that. Have you tried pressing the backup job button for longer than 15 seconds?
You press and hold the backup button
Press the power button briefly to turn the NAS on
Continue to hold the backup button till after seeing a message on the display on the front of the NAS that indicates that it is booting from USB.

I have. Im on the 3rd usb. I hold it down and it just gets stuck on a blinking course on the LCD. Doesn't do anything. I have formatted it properly and followed all the instructions.
