ReadyNAS Pro 6 install not allocating all available space
Two issues: Win 8.1. Six 4TB HGST Deskstar NAS HDs. Connected via Ethernet to router. I can see it fine on the network. X-RAID2 only allocates 8.1TB (RAID 0 allocates 10). 1.673 TB each drive....
Installing for the first time. I did a factory default with all 6 drives in place. All six drives are recognized. I haven't tried a single drive install.
I would like the ability to expand/install larger drives in the future which is why I chose XRAID. RAID 0 was really just to see if it would allocate all available space. It didn't.
The 3TB models are. I just read "Must be used with 4.2.16 or newer firmware". I have 4.2.15. That may be the smoking gun. Which is part two of my problem: update via RAIDar GUI fails. The front panel states: resync C: 25%. Maybe I have to wait for that to finish before I can update?
