ReadyNAS Pro to RN516 Upgrade

I run the backup job on the 6350 now because of the difficulty when it's run on the RN516. The RN516 will not backup to the share without creating another sub-folder. Netgear Support is advising a full Factory Reset (wiping all my data) in order to get the backup jobs working on the RN516. Do you concur?
