ReadyNAS Pro to RN516 Upgrade
I'm about to buy a RN516 with 6 Seagate 4TB 3.5" SATA3 64MB Cache OEM Hard Drive (ST4000VN000) that I will install myself. I currently keep all my media data on a ReadyNAS Pro 6350. I intend to us...

Here's an update on the struggle with this RN516 ...
Netgear Technical Support has not been able to resolve this problem. I've now completed TWO Factory Defaults and set the NAS up from scratch TWICE
in an attempt to purge any potential corrupted files.
Ultimately, this has not solved the backup problem: Doing an RSync Backup from the SHARE on the RN516 to the identically named SHARE on the ReadyNas Pro 6350 is not possible without embedding a duplicate folder - with all the sub-files - into the destination SHARE.
This defeats the whole intention of using two Netgear NAS's for redundancy: The "master" NAS (the RN516) only backs up differential files to the destination NAS (the 6350) using the RSync backup protocol. So, when a new file is added to the "master", only this file should be backed up to the destination NAS since it already contains identical data.
That's not what's happening.
Instead, the "master" NAS is backing up the entire SHARE to the destination NAS SHARE by embedding a duplicate folder - containing all the files - within the SHARE.
That's not what's supposed to happen.
Netgear seems stumped as to why this is happening. I've made a significant investment in time and expense by purchasing both of these NAS's, populating them with 12 4TB drives, in an effort to gain redundancy for my data.
As you can ascertain, I am not a happy camper right now.
