ReadyNAS remote and Photos2 services discontinued
Hi, i used to manage 2 NAS (the RN102 at home and the Duo V2 remotely) . I was using the remote and Photos2 services on both machines and i could either transfer files between them and more . Since...

Hi , txs for your reply. The Duo V2 has RAIDiator 5.3.13 (ARM) on it .
That isn't a model I happen to own, but I don't believe it supports rsync over ssh. That limits your NAS to NAS backup options, since ordinary rsync isn't secure over the internet.

If you have a precise idea of the steps i would be glad to try .
Personally I use the VPN approach, not OwnCloud. So I can't give precise steps. Hopefully some other users who do use it can chime in.
OwnCloud does support server-to-server sharing, as well as letting you access either NAS from client PCs or mobile devices.
To put it on the NAS,you'd need to do is purchase the OwnCloud server apps for R5 and R6 from Rnxtras.com ( €2.99 each), and install them on the NAS. You need to forward ports in your routers to the NAS (not sure which ones), and you'll also need ddns on networks (try noip.com).
For clients and more info go to owncloud.org (not owncloud.com).

I have not been able to get the drive sharing portion of OwnCloud to work on a ReadyNAS. And even if it did, I don't think it's suited as a backup system.
The only way I can make OwnCloud see a share on another system is to mount that share at boot-up via FSTAB and then point OwnCloud to that (now) "local" volume. I mount as NFS, but it ought to work with other file systems. I just figure sticking with a native Linux file system leads to the fewest problems.

I think there are two pieces to the puzzle, since NASVianey was using both photos2 and remote.
It might be good to step back and get more details on how the two NAS are used.
Is the RN100 NAS the primary NAS, with the duo v2 being a back-up? If so, you could just use ReadyCloud with the RN100 for remote access, and then focus on how to get the backup jobs running again.

OK , it's exactly my concern to find a way to get my backup jobs transferring files from the RN 102 to the Duo V2 running again . I used to have both NAS discovered thru Remote service , and i could administrate both of them and log into the remote Duo V2 , but now i cannot reach anymore the remote Duo V2 .

Do these backups running on the RN102, or the Duo v2, or on a PC?
