I am still having lots of issues, on top of not being able to start SMB a defrag has filled up the disk. I have stopped the defrag and am currently trying to grecefully reboot the NAS drive.
I noticed the following message in the logs as I am waiting for the system to shutdown :
Apr 24 12:49:01 AI-NAS cron[2100]: (*system*spindown) RELOAD (/etc/cron.d/spindown) Apr 24 12:49:01 AI-NAS cron[2100]: (root) WRONG FILE OWNER (crontabs/root)
It has still not shutdown just yet, but appear to be going, or so it says on the front of the drive.
Any further help would be much appreciated.....
Regards,
Mark
P.s. I have sent messages to mdgm but not had any response, although i understand they are in a completely different timezone to me which may not help!

OK, now I think I have lost my access. The Display now just shows :
kfree+14c
What does this mean? Is it space related as a swcheduled defrag had been runing ande filled up the drive?
I can't access the admin panel or ssh anymore.

One option is to use paid support (my.netgear.com). Ask about per-incident.

Thanks StephenB, I didn't realise that there was a per case option with support, I ws on the verge of getting support involved but decided that i would try a final factory reset.
I have managed to resolve by doing a factory reset, I was putting off doing it becuase I needed to copy off all my data first (I do have a remote backup but currently no network between the two NAS drives to restore from, so I put asside a few hours yesterday and copied all the data to a USB drive, reset to factory settings and then restored my backup and copied back my files, all now appears to be working OK.
I noticed that OS 6.7 has been withdrawn, should I be worried that I am on this version now?
Thanks for all the help and patience...
Mark
