ReadyNASRND2000
I have a the ReadyNAS Duo and can no longer "see" the device on the network. The NIC appears to be dead. I've restarted the device, connected to a different switch and have tried different ethernet cables, but get no light on the NIC. What are my options w/the data on the disks?
Thanks in advance!

- What firmware are you running?
- Does the NAS say "Duo" on the front chassis? Or does it say "Duo v2"?
You can try connecting disk 1 to a PC, and offload the data with r-linux for windows: https://www.r-studio.com/free-linux-recovery/

I believe it's running 4.2.28, since that's the most recent firmware on my desktop and it's a DUO
RND2000-100NAS
v2

If it's a sparc based Duo
- it will be running 4.1.x firmware (NOT 4.2.x)
- the front chassis will say Duo
If it's an arm based Duo
- it will be running 5.3.x firmware
- the front chassis will say Duo v2
If it's running 4.2.28, then it's either an Ultra-2 or a Pro-2, and not a Duo at all.
The sparc-based Duo is called a v1 here; the arm-based Duo is called a v2 here. I suspect you have a v1 (because of the -100NAS in the part number).
