Try doing some tests with iPerf.
You'll need to SSH into your NAS and make it the iPerf server.
Then, on your Win7 machine run iPerf and increase the size of the TCP Window.
I've noticed with iPerf tests that the throughput more than doubles when increasing the TCP window size.
Win7 doesn't allow you to change the TCP window size like WinXP did.
Of course, this probably doesn't solve your problem, just like it didn't solve mine. Just tells us that Micro$oft has some work to do.
For the NAS, you can get iPerf here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/iperf/files/
For your Win7 machine, you can get jperf (a fancy iPerf GUI) here: http://code.google.com/p/xjperf/downloa ... -2.0.2.zip
Make sure you have Java installed: http://java.com/en/
