Rebuild Time - 800+ Hours?
Model - RN2120 - Rack mounted
OS - 6.2.4
4TB x 4 (all are WDC WD40000FYYZ-01UL1B0)
RAID5
HDD1 failed in August and was replaced with refurbished model by Netgear RMA. However HDD2 failed before rebuild of HDD1 could be completed resulting in system crash. HDD2 was also replaced by netgear RMA (appears to be new unit, not refurb). I installed new HDD2 last week and factory reset the ReadyNAS. I destroyed the existing volumes on HDD1, HDD3, and HDD4.
Rebuild of Volume "data" is more than 800 hours. It's been running nearly 72 hours (since 12:00 on Friday and current time is 10:00am Monday) and rebuild time is still 800+ hours. As of this post, it has completed less than 12% of rebuild.
I am not using the drive to store anything right now. Typically the drive would be used as for DVR storage but ZERO cameras are recording to it at this time so it could fully focus on rebuilding.
Should it take this long?
Is it safe to use the ReadyNAS as a DVR again? It was recording 15 HD video feeds before.

It shouldn't be taking that long.
Are you seeing any SMART errors?
