replacing failed hard drive
I have 2 readynas pro, each with 6 wd red 3 tb drives. Last night I backed up my first readynas to the second one. I only use the second readynas to back up the first one and it is rarely used, like p...
No don't format the drive. The reason I asked is that some users insert formatted drives and this can sometimes lead to problems like yours.
Remove it, wait a while, hopefully you'll see a message about drive removal, then reinsert it.
