- Do you know what firmware the NAS is running? It should be on the LCD screen
- Are you accessing the admin web ui using https://nas-ip-address/admin ?
- Is there a chance that the browser has saved your previous NAS admin password? If that is the case, try accessing the NAS using a private/incognito browser window
From your symptoms, it sounds like (2) is the most likely issue. 4.2.x firmware requires the /admin at the end of the URL. If you leave that out, it redirects to /shares. That only shows shares that have https enabled as a protocol, and none have that set by default. So after a factory reset, that list will be empty.

What does RAIDar show you?

I did a good thing.. I threw it away and bought another one.
There will certainly be smb problems and old things that are no longer supported today.
I don't even know how old it is, but it definitely won't run w11 anymore
So, I don't waste time.

Anyway, to answer your question:
I launched RAIDAR on the PC and I see the NAS with firmware 4.2.31
and clicking on "administrator page" the browser responds with an error:
"SSL_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED_VERSION" and
"This website does not support the TLS 1.2 protocol"Please tell me if I'm right to throw him away or if there is a way to communicate with him nowadays with the new protocols
thank you

No need to throw it away. There are two ways to add TLS 1.2 to your NAS
- convert the NAS to run OS-6 firmware or
- install an add-in to 4.2.31
The first option is best (it also adds SMB 3.x), but it does require increasing the RAM to at least 2 GB - which is inexpensive and easy to do.
Either way, you can get temporary access either by
- Using internet explorer (if still installed on the PC)
- Using Edge in IE mode
- Using Firefox, and setting security.tls.version.min to 1 (browse to about:config and search for the setting).
The add-on link is there:
After you install that, we can follow up on converting your NAS to OS-6 if you are interested.
