RN 204 snapshot
I am having trouble understanding how to use snapshots on my ReadyNAS 204 (firmware 6.4.1). I used to have a ReadyNAS Duo V1 that started to drop of my network, so I decided to buy a 204. ...

I have just about 1 TB of data on my 2 TB RAID 1 array.
It looks like It is working after I copied my documents (Word/Excel/Vegas Pro etc.) to the documents share and enabled Snapshot on this share.
I guess the ReadyNAS is confused that there is a share with the same name at the volume.
The files that are left in the "Data" share are files that is not changed very often, and since I do backup twice a week, the snapshots are not needed on this share.
Thanks for all the replies.

Looking at your logs I can see some errors saying that snapshots must have owner root and that reading failed.
Looks like there's not that much data on the system yet (under 1TB). So maybe it could be worth updating your backup, doing a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) and restoring your data from backup. This would get you a clean setup on the firmware you are running at the moment (6.4.1).
