RN102, 6.7.1 - Antivirus kills RAM and CPU
Hi,
Just upgraded from 6.6.1 to 6.7.1 and once again antivirus service is killing my NAS. AV needs ~60 seconds to consume 50% of ram resources and 90% of CPU resources. It's enough to prevent admin page from reposnding...
Is there any solution for this or I should wait for 6.7.2...?
Thx
Jacek

According to my experiences RN10x are overwhelmed by OS6.6+. There will be no "solution" except a firmware, which will be especially customized for the weaker NAS of the Netgear familiy. The goal to have one monolithic OS across all models might be a bit to daring.
If you like you can try to improve performance and stability of your system by following this link:
Of course, switching off antivirus service is one of the first recommended steps.

I haven't seen anyone else posting this (at least not yet). It'd be helpful if other people running 6.7.1 on their RN100's with AV enabled share their experience here.
Obviously Netgear was able to address the performance issue with 6.6.1, so it seems to me that they should be able to resolve it again.

Hello jacs_1979,
Have you tried BETA 6.7.3? Don't forget to always have full backup of your data.
