RN102 vs RN104 transfer speed

Hi,   I have: RN102 has 2 x 2TB WD20EFRX (RAID 1) and I get 60 MB/S write speed over gigabit copying large video files RN104 has 2 x 3TB WD30EFRX, 1 x 3TB ST3000DM001 (RAID 5) and I get 28MB/s w...

As evan2 mentioned those write speeds are fine.

Personally I would try to avoid the ST3000DM001 as it is known to have very high failure rates when used in RAID arrays.

    So I bought another WD30EFRX and replaced the ST3000, putting it in a USB backup drive and guess what - the ST3000 died with the click-of-death!!! Sod's law !!
