Just a little thing here, since you have a new unit, I would advise to do a factory reset if you haven't done it after upgrading. There were some changes to the filesystem with the 6.1.5 that need to be applied via a factory reset. They shouldn't do much difference but it's always good to start clean.
As for the speed, did you copy large file or only word documents ? Is the rebuild process (if two disks) finished ? Is the antivirus turned off ?
