RN104 - keeps freezing after 6.2.3 & 6.2.4 updates #25088243

I seem to be having the same issue a lot of people are having.
I was originally running 6.2.2 and everything was working perfectly. I was prompted on the admin page that a new firmware 6.2.3 was available so I upgraded. Everything seemed ok but after some time the device slowed right down and then became unreachable. I had to pull the power out to get it to reboot and come back online, then between 6-12 hours it would lock up again. This happened 5 or 6 times and then I noticed 6.2.4 was available so I installed this. 6-12 hours later it locked up again and I had to power cycle it again.
Is there a fix to stop this from locking up?

I have NO Apps installed. So that can not be the issue.
I also checked the SMART Status of the drives...they all look fine to me.
So I did a downgrade to 6.2.2 right now.
Going home now; so we will see tomorrow if the problem still exists !
If not, than it has something to do with the 6.2.3 or 6.2.4......

Hossa - After reverting to 6.2.2 the unit is now stable again.
I have even turned all my apps back on again and it has been up for over 24 hours like this. - Same here wydra. I can stream using DLNA again without it knocking me off every few minutes and it hasnt frozen on me once. Dont know why I updated the FW anyway, not like I really needed any of those enhancements. Think I'm just going to stay on this one forever lol. Glad I never updated the two 104's I got these two small business' to buy.... That would of been hell to fix since you cant even remote in to reboot the things.
- On another note, now i'll have to find another NAS to replicate too because now I really cant trust the new FW. Dont know if its fine if you had a completely new system that had no data, but that freezing thing drives you mad. Everytime I have to yank the plug I feel like i'm playing russian roulette with my data.

Hossa - We are looking into what may have caused this. Most users have found 6.2.4 to be the best 6.2.x release yet so it is puzzling as to what could have caused this.
- Same problem for me. My RN104 freeze with 6.2.3 and 6.2.4 :x
It was working finely with prior versions :)
As the power bouton was unefficient when Nas was freeze, I do a power reset by removing the power cable !
And after such a reset I loose an HDD !!!
I downgrade to 6.2.2 ans I hope it works better like before :? - Hopefully it will work again after that. Mine has been on with no issues for now 2+ days. First time in months I've been able to use this system reliably.

I am having the exact same issues. I have been running the readyNAS now for about 4 weeks. It keeps freezing and hanging. The only way to fix is to do a hard reset by pulling the power. Should I also downgrade to 6.2.2? Can you please advise how I am able to fix this issue?Current firmware is 6.2.5, and the release notes include
- Adjusted CPU and memory timing to improve system stability on RN10x models.
So I'd try that before downgrading.
