RN104 X-RAID2 back to 2 JBODs?
Hi. I have 2 HD's in my RN104, of 1.5Tb and 3Tb. I'm new to this and I've foolishly configured them as X-Raid (yes, I'm an idiot :oops: ). Problem is, it has autoconfigured them as a 1.5Tb RAID-1 vol...
It depends what you want to achieve. If you don't need the space for now, you might prefer to have a 2 disk RAID-1 volume rather than a 3 disk RAID-5 volume. You can always add additional 3TB disks to expand the volume down the track.
