Can you see your NAS using RAIDar app? If not -> tech support, If you can, check the status of your drives. On the other hand, maybe something went wrong during update (the problem appears directly after update?) , thus, re-installing might be required.

RAIDar is a management program that runs on a PC. You can get the download for 6.2 here: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20684/~/readynas-downloads#raidar

Thank you I have downloaded and ran it and it said
Status Volume data-0:Raid Level 5.Inactive;0MB (0%) used
Drives 4 in total icon is blue with a green tick on all of them.
Hope that means something.

So you have no backup for irreplaceable data?
Can you download your logs using RAIDar and send those in (see the Sending Logs link in my sig)?

hi, have you seen the diagnostics info i sent ?
would it be anything to do with the update not downloaded correctly and or corrupt therefor causing the problem, if so can I download it again and re-install ?

Hey, unfortunately I'm not familiar with Linux at that level of understanding (because both errors are directly corelated with Debian 8 (linux) that is a core of ReadyNAS OS 6.6.0, your true problem is the first one). I think re-installing OS should help, but wait for the reply from more advanced Linux users.
