RN3220 Web interface non responsive?

Hello, we recently purchased a pair of ReadyNAS 3220s for some low tier archivalesque storage and while setting them up I've ran into a problem with one. I initially only had 3 drives in the unit and when I fired it up it built a raid 5 without issue and I set up AD integration and a few other things. Then today I got the remainder of the drives, and when I populated the bays the interface stopped functioning. The unit still responds to ping, and when I rebooted the unit it came back up and let me in while not adding the additional drives. So I turned the X-raid function off with the intention of turning it back on to have it pick up the new drives but now it is non responsive again. This has me concerned as I don't want to have to power the unit off any time I need to make a configuration change. Is this a known issue with a solution or do I need to file a support request? These units are brand new and updated to the 6.1.5 firmware. The other one hasn't given me any grief but I populated it before turning the unit on.

I'm honestly confused and a bit worried by the idea that adding or replacing a drive can make the unit non responsive.
