RN422 off site backup
I've got a 16tb drive in my rn422 but since its gone eol thought should upgrade so picked up a qnap and want to use the RN to backup offsite via vpn+ rsync/similar. Was hoping to use wireguard/tailscale but it seems like RN OS won't support it?
Otherwise
If i pull the drive out and stick it in a usb enclosure that it originally came in and connect to a RPi, will i be able to use the drive or do i risk having it wiped?

Hard to say. The NAS uses Debian 8, which is now archived. Some packages can be installed, others can't be.
ZeroTier does work, Sandshark posted details here:

You need both mdadm and btrfs installed to mount the data volume.
