rsync backup ignores exclude list when started from button

I've set up a frontview backup job to rsync from Volume C to a remote rsync server, excluding a directory with the "Add files and directories to be excluded as a comma separated list" option.

It works fine if I initiate the backup from the frontview interface. However, if I associate the job with the backup button and initiate it that way, the job still runs, *but* it ignores the exclude list, and backs that up too.

Any help?

Ultra 4 w/ RAIDiator 4.2.16.

This was fixed a while ago. Try switching the backup button job back to the default, then setting it back to your rsync job. If that doesn't work, try updating to 4.2.17.
  • I am having problems with comma separated list exclusions.

I am using a Ultra 6plus with latest firmware (4.2.19)
If I exclude 1 folder, rsync backup works as expected; as soon as I add folders then none are excluded.

I start with excluding BLURAYO This works. I then change CSlist to:

    BLURAYO,IpadMovies,Foobar\ MP3

This does not work and rsync starts backing up excluded folders, whether I start task in frontview or with backup button.

The formatting of the third folder that has a space in it is correct I think - the actual folder name is "Foobar MP3"
  • This is still a problem with 4.2.19.

My exclude list works as expected if the backup job is started from Frontview, but when exactly the same job is added to the backup button job list, the exclusion list is ignored.
