What error are you getting when you try to access the web ui? 

Have you tried disabling antivirus (and any internet security software) running on the PC?

If you are using XRAID:

• If you add two 4 TB drives, then the volume would be converted to RAID-5 and expand from 4 TB (~3.64 TiB) to 12 TB (~10.91 TiB).  Note you could just add one 4 TB drive and expand to 8 TB (~7.27 TiB).
• If you add two larger disks (of the same size), then the capacity rule is "sum the disks and subtract the largest"  So if you added two 8 TB, the capacity would grow to 16 TB.  In this scenario, you would need to add two larger drives in order for the NAS to use all the space on the disks.
• If you add smaller disks, the NAS will ignore them.
